The Light of Love

Let’s address what I call Captain Obvious: Love is light. Love brings energy. Love moves mountains.

When you’re grieving—whether from a recent loss or feeling the sting of an anniversary or just yearning to hear their voice again—it’s easy to focus on the absence, the lack. But here’s the redirection I gently offer you today:

That love you shared? It didn’t die. It lives on in the treasure chest of your heart. It endures.

In the darkest moments, if you close your eyes and reach inward, you’ll find it: the warmth of their laughter, a look you both understood, the unspoken memories. That is love. And love is light.

The ache in your heart? That’s proof of depth. Pain, in many ways, is love’s echo—physically felt, deeply remembered.

But we’re not just called to feel it—we are able to choose how we carry it. When you consciously shift your mindset (yes, the buzzword, but so real), you are making a powerful declaration: “I may feel pain, but I will not forget the light.”

The torch of love can be carried forward. Speak their names. Tell their stories. Smile at the thought of them. And just as importantly—look in the mirror. The love you give yourself matters too.

Practicing appreciation—whether for a moment, a memory, or your breath—is the start of healing. Appreciation is a sibling of love. It vibrates at a frequency that brings life, connection, and yes… light.

This isn’t just philosophy. Stanford University research has explored the measurable effects of human emotion and its frequencies. High-vibration emotions like love and appreciation have the power to elevate your state of being—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

So no, this isn’t fluff. This is legacy. This is science. This is your truth.

Let today be your reminder: Love endures. Light continues. And it all lives within you.

“The light of love doesn’t fade—it reflects in our stories, our steps, and the life we choose to live in their honor.”
