Today’s title, Are You Ready?, is more than a question—it’s an awakening.
It’s an invitation to open that inner door and look at yourself honestly.

Are you ready? Am I ready?
Only you can answer that.

What “Ready” Might Mean for You

“Ready” can mean many things:

Ready to honor those who have passed on.

Ready to return to the world after grief pulled you into solitude.

Ready to love again after losing the greatest love of your life.

Ready to start a new chapter.

For example, my own dog just passed away a few days ago. I’m not ready to get another one. Some people feel ready right away—and that’s okay too. Readiness is not a universal timeline. It’s deeply personal.

People might try to tell you, “Oh no, you’re not ready for that”—but it’s your right to decide.

Fill in the Blank

Ask yourself:
“Am I ready for ________?”
Only you know the gap in your life. Only you know what it takes to fill it—or if you even want to fill it yet.

And if your answer is “yes”? Then it’s time to go to what I call the emotional gym. Others might call it their emotional toolbox. Whatever works for you—just use it to your advantage.

If you avoid the question altogether, that’s an answer in itself: you’re not ready. And that’s fine. Take the time you need.

God’s Flashlight & the Emotional Gym

I like to be playful in how I describe this process—because healing, even in grief, can carry lightness. My goal is to help you find what I call God’s flashlight—that divine guidance to help you find your way, one emotional “rep” at a time.

When we decide something, we have to use effort—and that effort comes from the prefrontal cortex of our brain. I’m not a medical professional, but I read medical books written for the general public. One that has resonated deeply with me is:
I Know What to Do, So Why Don’t I Do It? by Dr. Nick Hall, a neuro-immunologist.

I’ve also drawn from books on quantum mechanics, the laws of attraction, and more—but the core message remains: you have the power.

Nobody Can Answer for You

Others may persuade you or try to influence you. At the end of the day, readiness is about what feels right for you.
If you’re not ready, that’s okay—discern, reflect, take the macro view. But always come back to building a life worth remembering.

Grief is a low vibration. The mission of this newsletter is to remind you: you are still in the land of the living.

As we honor those who have transitioned, we carry their torch—not just in the pain of their absence, but in the beauty of their legacy. And while we carry their legacy, we must also live our own.
