Divine Intervention

Divine Intervention

 by Patricia D. Freudenberg

Take a moment. Let yourself settle into the idea—not of answers, but of allowance. Let’s talk about Divine Intervention. Not to dissect it. Not to debate it. But to sit with it, breathe it in, and maybe—just maybe—feel it.

Divinity, in its essence, walks hand in hand with the mysteries of life. Like an invisible thread running through the tapestry of our human experience, it shows up quietly, subtly—or sometimes with breathtaking force. Whether you’ve seen, heard, dreamed, or merely hoped for a miracle, you’ve already met this mystery. Because a miracle, by nature, is just that: Divine.

In the context of grief, divine timing and intervention can feel like gentle whispers reminding us there is more than meets the eye. The message today is not to figure it out, but to bask in the unknown. To linger in curiosity, and by doing so, allow the heaviness of grief to give way to wonder. That space—that surrender—is what I often refer to as “Let go and let God.”

While I share this from a Christian lens, this invitation is universal. Whether you say God, Source, Creator, or simply the mystery, the sentiment remains: We are all travelers in this land of the living. And one day, each of us will confront the sorrow of loss.

The beauty? It’s in the transformation. Just as science tells us, energy cannot be destroyed—it only changes form. So then we ask: where does that energy go?

Could it be the butterfly that hovers at just the right moment? The bird that visits the window? A twinkling star that catches your breath? The flicker of light, or that penny you find and just know it’s a sign?

Maybe. And maybe that’s enough. If it brings you comfort, hold it close. Because you, dear reader, are still here. And through remembering, through legacy, through love—you carry the torch, not only of their story, but of your own.

I also invite you to consider angels. Whether you believe in them or not, their presence has been acknowledged around the world for centuries. They appear in stories, paintings, songs, and whispers of hope. I do believe in them—deeply. But it’s okay if you don’t. Even the thought of them can bring lightness. It’s the vibration that matters.

Prompt for Reflection: Have you ever experienced a moment so profound, so oddly perfect in its timing, that you wondered if something greater was at play? What would change in your grief journey if you welcomed the idea of divine intervention—even just as a comfort?

Book Recommendation If you’re curious and want to explore this idea further, I recommend the book Divine Guidance: How to Have a Dialogue with God and Your Guardian Angels by Dr. Doreen Virtue. This thoughtful work explores how divine signs and inner guidance may appear in everyday life. Dr. Virtue is not only a renowned spiritual teacher and bestselling author but also holds a doctorate in psychology, adding depth to her approach in blending emotional healing with spiritual insight.

Her extensive body of work—spanning over 50 published titles—has been celebrated worldwide for empowering readers to connect with angels, intuition, and inner peace. Divine Guidance is particularly cherished for helping individuals recognize subtle signs and synchronicities as meaningful messages of comfort and direction.

Even if you explore the book for inspiration or curiosity, it might open a door—or bring you a moment of peace when you need it most.
