Truth Be Told
I know what I see, At least through my eyes, And what follows me.
The emotions that linger, Tales of the past. Emotions may rise, But don’t always last.
My truth is mine, And mine to be— What I believe, What I see in me.
Knowing what I know Is all mine to keep, But can I change my mind About the truth of me?
I know I miss you, And I think that you’re gone, But I do believe Spirit lingers on.
I hope there’s a heaven, I hope it’s a place With rainbows and butterflies And saving grace.

The Journey of Belief
This poem speaks to the mystery of faith and belief—the deep questions we hold about life, death, and what lies beyond. The truth we carry is uniquely our own, shaped by experience, emotion, and hope. While we live in a shared reality, the soul’s journey remains personal.
We may never fully know what happens when the soul leaves the body. But what we believe, deep within, is ours alone. And in that belief, there is beauty.
Reflection Prompt:
What do you believe in your soul? Do your beliefs bring you comfort, or do they leave you questioning? Take a moment to reflect on what you hold as truth and what remains a mystery.
No matter where you are on your journey, may you find peace in the beliefs that bring you light.
