Grief Recovery Newsletter by Patricia D. Freudenberg
When we think of the word thrust, it means to push, to propel forward. And often in life, there are catalysts that push us. Sometimes it is music, sometimes a quote, sometimes an unexpected act of kindness, love, or insight. These outside nudges can spark something inside us, stirring our emotions, our thoughts, our inward journey.
But here is the truth, the ultimate choice is yours. You are the only one who can decide. You can resist, or you can choose. Even if the push comes from the outside, only you can ignite the decision on the inside. You are the captain of your ship, the one who can set the course for your emotions, your mind, and your heart.
Yes, the first spark of ignition may feel like the hardest part. But once you make that conscious decision, you set yourself on the path to thrive. And thriving does not happen on autopilot. It takes mindful action. It takes aligning your heart and your mind, listening deeply to your higher awareness, and responding with intention instead of reaction.
As so many teachers and thought leaders remind us, Esther Hicks, Wayne Dyer, Neville Goddard, Napoleon Hill, Bruce Lipton, Nick Hall, Joe Dispenza, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Gregg Braden, Bob Proctor, and others, the message is the same, It is your choice.
But let us pause on that for a moment. Yes, you make the choice. It sounds obvious, does it not? You would think so, right? Yet many times, we rely on others to make choices for us. We stand in a state of freeze, waiting for somebody else’s decision to determine what we should do with our lives or how we should handle things. But here is the reality, we are the only ones who know how we truly feel. So yes, it is obvious, but the deeper question is, are you aware?
Grief, challenges, and unexpected changes are a part of life. But when your heart and mind are in alignment, movement happens, and that is where you thrive.
So, today I remind you, take control of the thrust, and then drive yourself to thrive.
Quote of the Day
“Thrust is the push of a choice, thrive is the nurture, the growth, and the movement forward.”
– Patricia D. Freudenberg
Reflection
What is one small “push” you have recently received, through a word, a song, or a feeling, that you can choose to turn into fuel for your own thriving?
Closing Thoughts
Thrust is not just a push forward, it is an awakening, a call to take ownership of the choices only you can make. To thrive is to step into that ownership, aligning your heart and mind with mindful actions that create movement and meaning. As you navigate grief and life’s inevitable challenges, remember that within every thrust lies the seed of possibility. Choose to nurture it, and allow yourself to thrive.
And as part of your personal growth journey, I also invite you to explore a list of books I have read and recommend in the field of new thought, enlightenment, and spiritual growth.
